day out

Went to town with a friend the other day, and found out that a shoe shop now has a selection of Jeffrey

Campbell shoes. No words could explain my excitement to try them on, people gave me weird looks as I was

walking up and down the shop in the JC Night Walks. We also went for a frozen yogurt and then to a thrift

shop where I found this awesome flannel shirt and lots of doc martens, but I didn't buy anything, because I

didn't have enough money.

Today is the last day of my holiday, I'm back to school tomorrow. Oh, the joy.

exploring the urban outfitters

An Urban Outfitters store has opened not so very long ago here, in Brussels, and I have visited it a couple of

times, after which I decided to make a post about it. Here's my opinion:

The UO are far from being my favorite store, but I think there is a way to find some shoes, clothes and

accessories that are worth their price, which let's be honest, isn't always the lowest one. Oh no, it's not. I

personally would never pay 40 euros for a freaking tee-shirt, no way. I know they're called the urban

outfitters, and they do have some really nice items, but some of them are so 'last year', if I may call it that way.

We're all tired of seeing knitted mini skirts with tribal prints on, tops with leopard crosses and what is there to

talk about the skeleton skull cut-out top that costs 50 euros? You can easily make that as a DIY project.

Sorry for that little rant right there, but I felt like I had to come out with it, it was just bothering me a bit. It also

bothers me that some people buy these expensive things just to show off. I think it's pathetic. Those are just

clothes, for god's sake, right?

Anyway, the photos above represent the few things I took pictures of in the shop and that I  would maybe #

(not certainly!) buy if I was a rich bitch  who could let herself buy shoes for 200 bucks, which is nonsense, as

I mentioned before. The leopard creepers, the weird-heeled shoes, the velvet bralet and the leo platform

brogues are the four only things I actually like at the UO (I'm very surprised that two of them are leopard-

printed, because I'm actually not a big fan of that print). I didn't buy this stuff, by the way.

re: versace x h&m

After the final release of Versace for h&m in stores on Thursday, I was rather impatient to go and see the

collection with my own eyes.  As I have mentioned in my previous post about this release, I wasn't quite

impressed with this collection, but I still thought it would be cool to touch the cloth and stuff, so I went to

H&M and took some pictures of the very few clothes that were still in store (these limited edition garments

always are sold out very quickly, go figure). There were also a pair of orange tropical  print pants and some

other dresses that women kept gazing at, whilst I didn't see anything special about them, ha.

versace x h&m

The pictures of the Versace for h&m collection above were taken by me when I and a friend were just

passing by an h&m store. The clothes aren't available for buying, but they're already featured in the

showcases of the shop. I'm not loving the colors of the garments, and a lot of the pieces are too kitchy for me,

I'm not deeply in love with the heart print or the multicolored leopard pattern. My favorite items would be the

black studded leather jackets and dresses, and the blue/green jacket. I'm really looking forward to seeing

these clothes in stores and being able to touch the fabric that looks so soft. Still, I must say I'm disappointed in

this collection. When I first heard about this collaboration, I was quite excited until I saw the garments that the

brand came up with, I was expecting way more than a few tropical prints and flashy colors.

Here's a video of the Versace x h&m runway show that took place in NYC.

cher & lace

My life here in Brussels always seems so busy. I've got to manage my time to go to school, come back home

to grab a bite of something to eat and do some studying before hanging out somewhere. That 'somewhere' has

often been the new Starbucks cafe and the new Forever21 shop that have both opened in Brussels just about

a month ago. I'm not a big fan of coffee, but I'm always up to a cup of hot chocolate with cream or a

milkshake, yum. Outfit: I was wearing a black and white outfit (been obsessed with b&w lately). Sorry for the

quality, it's a bit messed up.

Also, I almost forgot that it's been a year that I've been blogging! I started in September '10, and I'm still in

the blogosphere, so happy birthday to Fashionwhit (which used to stand by the name of fashionablydrugged

back in the days)!
