I'm not one to tolerate excessively warm weather for more than a week, I simply run out of things to wear. I'm all about that eighteen degrees Celsius layering, coats and knits in every shade of grey... especially in summer. Floral prints and bright colours are my last resort and I believe that you don't need to be wearing a rainbow to stand out in a crowd. To me it's all about texture and volume, the way a garment moves with the body, how they compliment each other. Some people say that when living in a big overpopulated grey city, it is best to wear vivid colours, otherwise you might find yourself to be depressed all the time. But wearing all shades of grey makes me joyful, as if I was a part of the city as opposed to an accessory. Grey is architectural and romantic in a haunting way. It creates nuance, it's poetic and has charm. I've been raiding Zara's knit section for the past couple of months and keep finding little gems such as these two knitted sweater dresses. This is as summery as it gets for me and my gloomy wardrobe.
Tonight I'll be hopping on a bus that will take me to Tallinn. I'm more than excited to be going back, the time I spent there last summer with a friend was tons of fun. Estonia part 2.0, here I come! It hit me the other day that I've been excited about summer for such a long time and here it is, almost reaching its end. For some reason every time August comes around I start thinking of going back home and going back to the scholar routine. Except this year, there will be lots of nuances in my life, lots of new greys. I'm moving to London in September, starting a new experience that is bound to be great. I'm curious as to what the future has in store for me, but I'm also petrified. Excited, but also melancholic about leaving my all-white room in Brussels to start a life in a tiny dorm. Surely, it will take some getting used to, but it won't be long before that dorm becomes 'home'. With that being said, I'm off to treat myself with a cup of freshly pressed grapefruit juice- my new obsession- before tonight's long trip. I hope you're all having an amazing summer!

SPIRIT IN THE SKY
River Island satchel bag
Trying to bring some color into my dark and gloomy wardrobe, one blueberry-milkshake- coloured satchel at a time. This one I bought back in August when I went to Tallinn... I have not taken any regret in purchasing yet another bag as a souvenir. It's not only perfect aesthetically, it's also more practical than one would think. It comes with a long strap that you can choose to either fix onto the sides of the bag to carry it on your shoulder as one would usually do, or you can fix that same strap in a way that'll convert the handbag into a beautiful little backpack. Genius, right?
For a couple of weeks now, the feeling of spring settling in has been growing stronger every day. My house is filled with flowers- some I received the other day during my school's annual fashion show (yes, I made another capsule collection), some were brought in by my mum who loves decorating with pastel bouquets. I'm definitely not complaining. My evenings are spent working on an architecture project of designing a concept store for art class while listening to Franky Valli and the Four Seasons. What's not to like!

NEW IN: GOLDEN HEIGHTS
The pair of heels from my dreams. I've got a reputation for being a full-time gold enthusiast; I'd never say no to some precious golden goodies! Combine 'statement' with 'eternal class' and you'll get these babies. From Giuseppe Zanotti to Saint Laurent, many designers have created their own model of golden shoes. By far my best purchase from Zara this season, these heels are waiting to be taken out on the streets and into fancy palaces. Can't wait to find the perfect outfit to wear them with, it could be a suit or a little black dress, these beauties go with absolutely everything and can make any look go from casual to dressy. Definitely a must-have for this upcoming spring!

CRYSTAL CLEAR
Zara clutch
New in. I adore tiny evening bags. Not that I attend a lot of evenings of the sort where you'd have to carry one, but it can always come in handy at some point in life. I'm a mixing formal wear with casual wear enthusiast, I admit. And this black snakeskin-like treasure from Zara was just asking for an appreciation post that it oh-so-deserves. I'm really into crystal details right now, maybe it's because I've been reading The Great Gatsby on my beloved Kindle, and the roaring 20's are so chic and glamorous that it's actually hypnotizing (plus, the stunning Prada costumes in the new movie version are to die for). "I am nostalgic about an era I never knew".

Oh, Chelsea 2.0
Bershka boots
New in. These boots were made for walking and that's just what they've been doing ever since I got them. Favorite pair of Chelsea boots I own, hands down. From 90's dgaf rocker to modern biker chick, they've got the grounds covered. Sneaking into everyone's shoe closets since around two years ago, Chelsea boots are still conquering the world, one step at a time.
These are perfect for early spring weather, which is exactly the one we've recently welcomed in Belgium. The fresh strokes of wind waking me up every morning, as well as the chants of birds make this little holiday feel ever more relaxing. And of course, little treats like raspberry&banana milkshakes or vanilla sundaes. What's there to not enjoy?

Gold dust

h&m clutch, UO gold skull
NEW IN. So, I may be a sucker for small clutches. My collection of gorgeous little palm-sized bags has recently welcomed a couple of new members which I will soon be sharing in upcoming posts. And this baby is one of them. I adore its Art Deco vibe with the gold metal grid and the black suede. It's a perfect accessory- just toss in your lipstick, your phone and you're good to go! It's been said that the smaller a woman's bag is, the bigger her confidence. Here I am, challenging myself not to carry around half of my life packed in a big handbag, but picking only what is essential.

clutch c/o Chicwish.com
I've been on the hunt for a perfect clutch for a relatively long time now, and got my hands on this one (technically got the clutch in my hands), at last. It's plain black, no studs, no additional details. Black leather is basic and sophisticated, it matches everything. The wallpaper-printed garment (from Motel) I wore in the photo above will soon be featured in a full outfit post!
Aside from lusting after handbags, I've been watching a lot of movies... mostly ones starring Jesse Eisenberg. (there's something about the quirky, dorky & awkward characters he plays that makes-- or would make-- him jump right on top of my celebrity crush list, if I had one). I'm in Lithuania, the weather has been anything but blazy for the past few days, therefore I've barely got anything else to do beside watch cinematics- so that's what I've been up to lately.

shorts+ mini backpack from phixi.nl
Got these shorts and the little backpack from an amazing online vintage shop called phixi. You've got to
check it out! The selection of items on that website it so awesome that I couldn't stop browsing it for quite a
while. I cannot deny that this pair of shorts is one of my favorites out of the ones that I own, and you'll be
seeing them in my next outfit post! Seriously, the color, the studs, the distressed parts... everything about
them is just SO GOOD *in a Sophia Grace voice* I figured I'd also include some random shots of the sky
from yesterday. It was really magical. One second it's raining, and the other- this. I was staring at it for about
half an hour, lost in my little world, feeling like that double rainbow dude. I know, I'm easily impressed when
it comes to the sky and nature in general.

h&m shorts
White knitted shorts. As my white lace ones seem to have disappeared and aren't going to be found, I had to
find another pair of shorts, and those seemed to be the perfect replacement for the lost ones. Yes, yet another
pair of shorts. I'm starting to think it's my favorite garment! I have an unstoppable love for them- so loose,
comfortable and easy to be matched to anything, everything about them really pleases me.
I can already imagine these, a band tee with this sort of big 'armhole', any pair of shoes, round sunglasses, a
big messy bun, nice silver accessories and an across-the-body bag. Hell yeah.

(Nice N'Naughty, Moody Model, Red Nail by H&M)
These nail polishes are my three new bargains from the weekend. I couldn't take my eyes off them and had to
get all three of them, all so different, yet the colors are so pure and just perfect. That silver one became one
of my basics, I'm wearing it just as I'm typing this.
